Steve Ehredt, CYP Executive DirectorSteve has been with CYP since its inception and has worked with children in the outdoors for the past twenty years. He has worked for such high profile programs as the National Wildlife Federation’s “Wildlife Discovery Camp” and was Director of the Keystone Science School’s “Discovery Camp.” He spent two years as Therapeutic Recreation Director at a youth treatment facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Directly before coming to CYP, he was Operations Manager for Cal-Wood Conservation Education Resource Center, the host site of CYP’s 1995 summer camp. Steve has a B. S. in Environmental Interpretation from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree in English Literature from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He holds Standard First Aid and CPR certifications.

Mary Meyer, Assistant Camp DirectorMary, aka Banana Slug, is excited to be back for her fourth year with CYP after taking a year off to earn her teaching license and work on a graduate degree in Educational Psychology at University of Colorado Denver. Prior to CYP, Mary spent time working both in and out of the classroom with all age groups as an environmental educator, pre-school teacher and student at DePaul University where she received her Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Mary is is certified in CPR and Standard and Wilderness First Aid.

Mary Meyer, Assistant Camp DirectorNodin, otherwise known as Squirrel, has been connected to CYP since 1998, when he first attended camp at age 11. He worked as a YELP (Junior Counselor) in 2003 and as Outfitter in 2004. He since has graduated from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina with a degree in Comparative Literature and Creative Writing. He studied for two years in Grenoble, France and worked as an environmental educator at the University of Grenoble for two semesters. Nodin is AMGA certified and is a Wilderness First Responder.
