Adventure Club
In
addition to Mountain Summer Camp and
Teen Adventure Camp, CYP offers a service learning and outdoor
recreation program called Adventure Club. Adventure Club programs
happen after school and on weekends during the school year.
The after school activities are community
service/environmental volunteer related, such as cleaning up
local river banks, planting food gardens for the hungry and lending a
hand with various community causes. For instance, CYP youth
volunteers have removed over 3,000 lbs. of trash and recyclables from
local stream banks. Weekend activities are outdoor
recreational adventures such as alpine sledding, mountain biking, cross
country skiing, snow shoeing, fishing and kite flying. CYP programs
encourage and empower children to become active leaders in their
communities as well as address local environmental concerns.
