The Colorado Youth Program is led by:
Steve Ehredt
Executive Director

Steve has been with
CYP since its inception and has worked with children in the outdoors
for the past twenty years. He has worked for such high profile programs
as the National Wildlife Federation’s “Wildlife Discovery Camp” and was
Director of the Keystone Science School’s “Discovery Camp.” He spent
two years as Therapeutic Recreation Director at a youth treatment
facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Directly before coming to CYP, he
was Operations Manager for Cal-Wood Conservation Education Resource
Center, the host site of CYP’s 1995 summer camp. Steve has a B. S. in
Environmental Interpretation from Pennsylvania State University and a
Master’s degree in English Literature from Indiana University of
Pennsylvania. He holds Standard First Aid and CPR certifications.
Mary Meyer
Program & Camp Director

Mary is psyched to be entering her
third year with CYP. When
she is not up in the mountains at camp, Mary can be found leading CYP's
after-school program, Adventure Club. Before moving to Boulder, she worked as
an Environmental Educator
for the Lake County Forest Preserves in Illinois
as well as taught at many age levels in Chicago.
She earned her Bachelor's in Elementary Education from DePaul University.
In addition to leading CYP Programs, Mary is a Volunteer Naturalist
with
City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks. She
is certified in Standard and Wilderness First Aid and CPR.
