Does paying for your child’s summer camp experience seem like an impossible task? Hopefully we can ease your financial worries.

It is part of the Colorado Youth Program’s mission to provide children from lower-income families the opportunity to experience its Mountain Summer Camp. Full tuition for CYP Mountain Summer Camp is $1,100 per camper. However, in an effort to make camp affordable for children from all economic backgrounds, CYP provides numerous scholarships that reduce the cost of tuition significantly. The different scholarship rates are based on income levels from the 2007 Area Median Income (AMI) for Boulder County, Colorado, where CYP's office and Camp Tahosa are located.

The Colorado Youth Program strives to have no child turned away because of financial matters, but there are a limited number of spaces and scholarships available. This means that simply because you qualify for a scholarship, you may not necessarily receive one. The scholarhsips will be filled first come, first served—we are expecting camp to fill quickly this year!

To use the sliding tuition scale: Select the number of people in your family, then follow that column down until you find your family income level for 2007. Next, follow the row of your family income back to the left. The lowest scholarship tuition for which you qualify is in the far left column.
